This seems to be the urban version of the Subaru Impreza, the BOON CrossFour (X4) from Daihatsu. We're starting to think that the people from Daihatsu don't like to cruise around the city, because this "little" urban car has been injected with a serious dose of steroids. So what do we get?
- 963cc turbocharged engine that develops a very cool 133bhp
- 5-speed manual gearbox (short gears)
- a very light total weight of 980kg
- 4WD with auto-locking diff at the front
You get all this for a very affordable price: less than 15000 EUR for the high-end model.
As you might have suspected, this X4 will be present at some rally events, and it might very well be the ideal vehicle for the Nihon Car & Bike team whenever we have to travel around in Japan.
